Stella Damasus is a Nigerian born entertainer based in the United States of America. She is most notable for her work as an actress has been in the Entertainment Industry for over two decades and has since been considered to be one of the most popular film actresses from Africa.
Stella who had owned and performed with a music band for over a decade recently released her first-ever solo studio recorded gospel album titled “THE ALTERNATIVE”. It was released on several online music platforms such as iTunes, TIDAL, Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play, YouTube, XBOX Music, Amazon MP3, eMusic, Deezer, Digital, Rhapsody, Simfy Africa, Juno Download, Juke, KKBox and Guvera.
A devoted Christian, Stella is a woman with many talents; she is also a Dancer, Radio & TV Host, Acting Coach, Vocal Coach, Event Host, Writer, Vlogger, Blogger, Educator, Producer and Businesswoman.
Stella co-founded Index Two Studios, a production company which was set up to redefine the standards of the motion picture industry in Africa and Index Two has conducted free training on filmmaking in Cameroon, produced a short film on Cancer, a Web Series titled “Mix Match”, several music videos and a soon to be released feature-length film titled “Between”. She is also the co-founder of MON AFRIK TV an online television station which was created to deliver world-class, premium entertainment content from and about Africa to the world, as well as i2Radio an online radio station in which she hosts two radio shows “UNDILUTED WITH STELLA DAMASUS” and “WHEN WOMEN PRAISE”.
In order to alleviate the suffering of the less privileged, and help create a better future for others, she set up the Stella Damasus Arts (SDA) Foundation, a non- profit organization established to provide economic, intellectual and emotional support to the society, using the Arts as its primary tool. The Foundation launched its Free Arts Training Program and opened its doors to its first set of students on the 16th of May 2011.
Stella has also worked with Globally Igniting Africa (GIA), a non-profit organization as their Women’s Ambassador, Project Alert to fight against domestic violence, is an ambassador for Women4africa, has worked with WFP (World Food Program) to help the people of Liberia, is a supporter of Lamboginny Say No to Crime, is an ambassador for NDLEA (Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency), and has also worked with an organization in Cameroon that supports Cancer patients.
Stella’s zeal to fight for the rights of women and young girls around the world led her to create a mentorship program called ADIVA which helps women and young girls unlock their potentials using God’s word and principles thus becoming the best they can ever be. With the ADIVA Mentoring Program Stella has had 2 very successful meetings in Abuja (Nigeria) and one fun and intimate hangout in Atlanta, Georgia USA.
Stella sees herself as a person that has been placed on earth for many reasons and is determined to fulfill every single one of them. Her willingness to take on daunting tasks and face danger in the eyes is second to none.
