Christie Zhao recently earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Washington. She has a broad range of experience including directing, video editing, theater entrepreneurship, acting, and software engineering. Christie is passionate about leveraging digital technologies to produce innovative works in theater and film.
Some of her projects in this space include an online adaptation of Bertolt Brecht's "The Good Person of Szechwan" which utilized green screens and streaming software to place actors working remotely in the same digital space. She also founded the Chinese Theater Club at the University of Washington which continues to provide acting and directing opportunities to Chinese international students.
She is open to new opportunities in the Greater Seattle Area or remote.
