Mabul Marulanda
ActorMabul has been working in the modeling and acting industry for several years, beginning with performances in television commercials and modeling for both print and runway photography for several agencies in Colombia. In 2000, Mabul was nominated “Best New Model” by Shock Magazine in Bogota, Colombia. In the same year, he began his acting career on a popular Colombian television series called Betty la Fea (Ugly Betty). During the same period, he gained his first role as a regular on the television soap opera El Caballero de Rauzan. Furthermore, in 2000 he signed exclusive contracts both with La Feria International del Libro and with Pure White, a French spirits company. He is also known for his roles and his modeling work with international brands such as Coca Cola, Marlboro, Lee Jeans, McDonald's, Dallas Voice Magazine, and Brookhaven College.
In 2001, he played a prominent role in the successful television series Padres e Hijos, in which he portrayed a psychologically tormented young man. Later, in 2003, he gained a role as a regular cast member in Ama la Academia, another highly popular Colombian series. During summer 2009, Mabul filmed Complicado Corazon, a feature-length independent film still in post production in the United States. In the film, Mabul played the main character–a humble man who, suffering from amnesia, arrived in a small town and fell in love with a timid and insecure girl. Most recently, Mabul played the role of Maugrim in a local theater production of the Chronicles of Narnia in Dallas, Texas.
