Holly Hunter to Star Opposite Ted Danson in Tina Fey-Robert Carlock Comedy at NBC - thewrap

Holly Hunter has joined the cast of Tina Fey and Robert Carlock’s upcoming NBC comedy, the network announced Wednesday.

Hunter will star opposite “The Good Place” alum Ted Danson in the untitled series, which centers on a wealthy businessman who runs for mayor of Los Angeles “for all the wrong reasons.”

She will play Arpi, a longtime liberal councilwoman whose dedicated her life to the betterment of Los Angeles. She makes no secret of her disdain for the newly elected Mayor Bremer (Danson), whom she considers unqualified, sexist, and too tall to be trusted.

As previously announced, Bobby Moynihan will also co-star in the series. He will play Jayden, the interim Director of Communications in the newly elected mayor’s office.

The untitled comedy, which will serve as Fey and Carlock’s follow-up to “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” was ordered to straight-to-series by NBC earlier this summer.

The project will be produced by Universal Television, Fey’s Little Stranger, Bevel Gears and 3 Arts Entertainment. Carlock and Fey will serve as executive producers alongside Jeff Richmond and David Miner. Eric Gurian will oversee for Little Stranger.
