The latest trailer for Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out” is littered with clues. Can you solve the murder mystery before Daniel Craig does?
That’s what Lionsgate is hoping, launching not just a new trailer for the film but also a contest called “Get Your Cut” in which you can scour the trailers, posters and stills for answers to riddles that can win you a cash prize.
This latest look finds Craig’s Benoit Blanc hitting on the motive of each member of the Thrombey family in his effort to discover who may have murdered the family’s patriarch, Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer).
“The family is truly desperate. When people get desperate, the knives come out,” Craig says. “This is a twisted web, and we are not finished untangling it. Not yet.”
Along with the James Bond star, Johnson has assembled an impressive cast that includes Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Michael Shannon, Ana de Armas, Jaeden Martell, Katherine Langford, Lakeith Stanfield and Don Johnson, each of them at the other’s throats during the investigation.
“Knives Out” made its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and won strong reviews for its sharp wit and twisty, modern day mystery. Lionsgate is releasing the film this Thanksgiving on Nov. 27.
