DescriptionSnow's stream of consciousness monologue
Location1 hour and 20 minutes into the movie

Summary

Chris Kelvin (George Clooney), a psychiatrist who has just lost his wife, is sent to investigate the crew of an isolated research station orbiting an enigmatic ocean world, Solaris. He only finds two crew members, Snow (Jeremy Davies), a nervous and a bit psychotic scientist, and Gordon (Viola Davis). The other crew members have either disappeared or are dead.

He soon learns that Solaris has been creating physical replications of people from the crew's memories. These people don't know that they are replicas or that they have been created by Solaris.

In this scene Chris Kelvin adn Gordon have just discovered that Snow is actually the replica of himself. The real Snow has been killed by the replica.

Snow gives an incoherent stream of consciousness monologue where he tries to explain what happened and why he killed the real Snow.

Excerpt
SNOW: "What's this over here? Coming at me, what are you trying to do? Oh I see, you are trying to kill me. Yeah, confused me. Ha, I'll tell you about some confusing. How about bingo, there you are and whoop there's my welcoming commettee and you dropped your knife and it's a good night....."

This monologue is about a minute and a half. The character is psychotic, he starts a thought and then goes on another direction, he is constantly gesticulating and most of what he says doesn't make any sense.

This is a good monologue if you want to practice a stream of consciousness monologue of a character who is out of his mind.

Daniel Cristofori

i don't understand...I can only see an excerpt... what is the point of this if you don't even have the full monologue?
