Excerpt
INT. DESERT FLOWER

Nick Rubanos is sitting at a table, eating cheese cake. Ben Siegel walks in and sits at his table.

SIEGEL: "Helloo, Nick"

RUBANOS: "Delicious cheese cake. You got good cheese cake in the west."

SIEGEL: "How about a drink?"

RUBANOS: "I only drink when I close a deal."

SIEGEL: "Then you ought to stay pretty sober around here."

RUBANOS: "I came to make an offer."

SIEGEL: "What is it?"

RUBANOS: "Me and the boys walk off with this place and you walk off with your life."

SIEGEL: "I'm glad you haven't lost your sense of humor, Nick."

RUBANOS: "Who's laughing?"

SIEGEL: "I am. I put my blood into this place. This isn't a racket that you can muscle in on. This is a business. Gambling is legal here. Did you forget? I'm protected by the law. I had an idea. I set up a corporation. I sold stock. You're a stockholder. You want more than your share? Go see my lawyer."

RUBANOS: "You've gone too far. This time you've gone too far. Where's my money?"

SIEGEL: "You're looking at it."

RUBANOS: "How's Virginia?"

SIEGEL: "Fine. How's your mother? (Pause) Listen Nick, I have got things to do. Come back when you've got a better offer."

Ben Siegel stands up

RUBANOS: "Bugsy. You should wear a hat in the desert. The sun could kill you."

Ben Siegel walks off.
