Summary
King Louis XIV is in the process of building the palace of Versailles and has a lot of ex soldiers working around the clock. They are no happy with the way the king has treated them after fighting for him in the war. They go on strike and refuse to work for him. One of the king’s advisers, the Marquis de Louvois, gives this 30 second speech to the soldiers to try to convince them to go back to work.
