In this surreal coming-of-age drama, a rebellious yet naive young girl must cope with being forced to grow up too fast when her father is deployed to Iraq. One day, she receives a post card reminiscent of a childhood memory and begins having dreams of a green door in a desert. As the dreams begin surfacing in her everyday life, she must decide between initiating herself further with her up-to-no-good friends or retaining her innocence.
***The film does contain strong language, drug use, and sexual themes. Parental consent required for minors. SAG/AFTRA actors welcomed to audition.
Auditions will be held from 10 am to 5 pm September 16th-18th and 23rd-25th, with callbacks on the 26th and 27th, times TBD. Auditions will be held at Northwestern University, Louis Hall 118

The film will shoot from October 28th-30th and November 4th - 6th in the Chicago area. While there is no monetary compensation, there will be food and a copy of the DVD provided. The film will be a great addition to any reel and will be submitted to festivals.

|Laurel Andrews||0||Any Ethnicity||15-17||15-20, any ethnicity - Ella's best friend. The daughter of an Army Ranger suffering from PTSD. She pedals her father's PTSD/pain pills to her older friends. Laurel is strong-willed, manipulative, and outspoken, yet she remains a magnet for attention. However, she does have a soft spot when it comes to protecting her family. Considers herself very punk rock.|
|Mikey Torres||Male||Any Ethnicity||18-24||17-22, any ethnicity - Ella's boyfriend. Though he has a weakness for pills, he is generally attentive and caring. A silent, brooding, Jordan Catalano type. His concern for Ella is genuine, if not entirely no strings attached.|
|Paul Rodriquez||Male||Any Ethnicity||18-24||17-22, any ethnicity - The comedy relief of the group. Paul is a horny teenage boy who often says the wrong thing at the wrong time. He is a little less Sid Vicious and a little more Eminem.|
|Adam Snow||Male||South American/Latino||31-40||Caucasian or Hispanic, 35-40 - Ella's father. He is Ella's idol. Strong, independent, and courageous. He appears to Ella in flashbacks and dreams.|
|Thomas Andrews||Male||Any Ethnicity||41-50||40-45, any ethnicity - Laurel's father. Thomas has been greatly affected by his time at war and spends most of his time comatose in front of the television.|
|Army Officer||Male||Any Ethnicity||31-40||35-40, voice only/any ethnicity - The man who notifies Mrs. Snow about Adam going AWOL. He is commanding yet sympathetic.|
