Description:

The MIT Gilbert & Sullivan Players are pleased to announce auditions for our fall 2011 production of THE SORCERER.

Alexis and Aline are two naïve lovers who think the whole world should just as in love as they are. Not content to simply dream, Alexis employs the help of his family sorcerer, John Wellington Wells, who concocts a potion that sends the whole village into an amorous tailspin. Hilarity and absurdity ensue as Alexis and Aline watch their dreams come true, until the effects of the potion hit a little too close to home...

Auditions will take place (please note the different locations for each night):
Tuesday 6 September, 7-10pm, 4-270
Wednesday 7 September, 7-10pm, 4-153
Thursday 8 September, 7-10pm, West Lounge in the Stratton Student Center

All locations are on the MIT campus. See http://whereis.mit.edu/ for directions.

No appointment is necessary. Please prepare one song in English. Songs from this and other G&S shows are welcome but not required. You may also prepare another song in any language. Please bring music for the accompanist. You may also bring a copy for your own reference if you like. Readings from the show will be provided.
