Director: Victoria Kohl. High school student. Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Plan to pursue a career in film. Applying to film schools this fall.
I scripted this short film and I will be directing as well. This project will be my portfolio video for my college apps but I also plan to enter it into the Ft. Laud. Film Festival & other festivals for 2011-2012. Since I am a high schooler, this is a low budget film. None of the roles are paying. I plan to shoot soon, so this is a last minute casting. The role is short, but very important. If you are tight on time or not sure if you can film soon, no worries! It's only a few lines & won't take that long to shoot. PLEASE, if you are interested, contact me ASAP. Thank you for reading about my project, I hope you can be apart of it.
A Lesson In a Box is the touching story of an elderly man, Sam, and a teenage boy, Tyler, who cross paths and end up become great friends. In just a short period of time, Tyler realizes that Sam has opened his eyes to a world he knew existed, but never bothered to acknowledge. However, by the time Tyler discovers that Sam has been hiding one important detail from him, he is too late to do anything about it. Despite Sam's secrecy, Tyler holds on to his relationship with Sam and carries on a project that Sam and his wife dedicated their lives to.

|Role Name||Gender||Ethnicity||Age Range||Description|
|Allison||Female||Caucasian||25-30||Allison is the daughter of an elderly man named who lives in an independent living facility in Hollywood, Florida. Sam lost his wife, Allison's mother, to a terminal illness. She has an uneasy relationship with her father and spends most of her time working a demanding job elsewhere. When her father passes, she visits his apartment to arrange the funeral. As she makes the arrangements in her father's apartment, she happens to run into one of her father's friends, Tyler. She explains to Tyler what happened to her father, and continues on with her busy day. (Logically, the role would fit someone between the ages of 31-40 but I'll cast anyone from 25-45)|
