Description:
Auditions for Shakespeare On the Farm: The Winter's Tale
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Present Company, Austin's exciting new theatre collective, is proud to announce auditions for its fall "Shakespeare on the Farm" production of The Winter's Tale. After a wonderfully successful staging of Much Ado About Nothing that brought standing-room-only crowds and rave reviews, we are thrilled to bring to life Shakespeare's rarely-staged fairy-tale. Promoting the philosophy of "accessible & sustainable art," Shakespeare On the Farm takes place on the Eastside's beautiful Rain Lily Farm, and is an Austin tradition-in-the-making and a truly special event for theatre lovers of all ages. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of something magical!
Auditions will be held the evening of Monday July 25th from 6-9pm at the George Washington Carver Museum Studio, 1165 Angelina Street, Austin, TX 78702, with call-backs on Wednesday the 27th. Rehearsals will begin in mid-August and the show will run Thursday-Saturday evenings (with possible Sunday performances) September 29th-October 16th. We ask all auditionees to prepare a Shakespearean monologue (preferably in verse) of no more than two minutes in length. Walk-ins are welcome and will be seen as time permits. Casting is gender-blind and all roles are available. Please submit a headshot and resume with desired audition time and role(s) to presentcompanyaustin@gmail.com and we'll be in touch. Thanks and break legs!
