Description:
PITCH
Nora has the feeling that her home is being visited during her absence, as she notices objects being misplaced. She asks her close brother Marc if he has been inside, since he has a double of her key, but he denies it. A few days later, Marc introduces Nora to his possessive girlfriend, Edita. To Nora’s horror, Edita is wearing one of her necklaces.
I wish to convey a disturbing ambiance and uncomfortable atmosphere, a sense of invasion of one’s private space and intimacy, in a Buñuelesque style but with touches of thriller. The story also touches the themes of jealousy and trust, and the influence of love above family. The twist at the end suggests that either Edita has been sneaking into Nora’s apartment, or has manipulated Marc into doing so, in order to steal one of Nora’s belongings out of jealousy.
