Director: Torkjell Stromme. SKIN DEEP is a drama with horror elements, a 10-minute graduation short for the MA Film course at the International Film School Wales. The premise: In love with a prostitute & inspired to paint her, an art forger falls foul of his corrupt dealer who threatens the relationship.
I have been making short films for several years and last year was nominated in several film festivals including Portobello and End of the Pier film festivals. Skin Deep is my graduation film for the MA Film course at the International Film School Wales, and will be shot on HD for festival circuit submissions.
Production window is 7-10 July 2011, in Newport, south Wales. This is a non-commercial student project being made on a collaborative basis, expenses covered, copy of the film, invitations to screenings and information about its progress are offered.

|English, Caucasian, with a cut glass RP accent from her upper class background, her younger life of partying and drug excess led to a family intervention, and Harry to walk away from her family. Long since clear of drugs, she works as an escort, saving money for her bigger plans. She is sophisticated, confident, aloof, withdrawn. (partial nudity)
|A failed asylum seeker (either from NORTH AFRICA, CONTINENTAL AFRICA or the MIDDLE EAST) living in Britain illegally, working as an art forger for a corrupt art dealer. Jerome’s grip on reality is slipping and small hallucinations slip into his world when he’s stressed, such as when things aren’t working out as he’d like with girlfriend Harry. He finds new artistic expression as a result of his relationship with her, but stops painting forgeries for a corrupt art dealer who set him up.
