Description:

We are currently seeking headshots/resumes for auditions on Saturday/Sunday: May 11/12.

Auditions will be held at Noyes Cultural Center, 927 Noyes in Evanston, Room 223

Pay: $400 for the whole gig (negotiable for actors who have worked with FJT previously)

This play, currently in development, has the following roles to cast:

Marie, Black 40-60, mother of the black ballerina

Harvey-Ballet Master, White, 30+, must have facility in classical ballet

Saiku, Black, can read 17-20, actor/dancer, with facility in hip hop

Young Marie, Black, can read 10-12, must have some ballet ability

Miss Orrington-Ballet Mistress/School Admin, White, 30+, must have facility in classical ballet

Reuben-Vistor, White, former jazz musician, current hustler

Taylor, White, 17ish, ballerina

Ballet Class Accompanist, White accompanist, must play piano, open on age & gender . Requires piano player who can also act.

Please be sensitive to the age, gender, racial demographics specified when submitting. [For example, white actors in their 20s need not submit, unless they play the piano.]

Time Commitment:
Rehearsals M-F 6pm -10pm, starting July 15
Tech August 5-9
Opening August 10
Closing August 25
Performances: Sat 7pm (1-half hour call for line thru) Sun 3pm (half hour call)
