Auditions for Eugene Ionesco’s The Lesson

Theatre Contra is looking for two actors to portray the Maid and the Professor in a June 2018 Production of Eugene Ionesco’s The Lesson. We encourage performers of all ages and ethnicities to audition! A small stipend will be provided.

A professor and his young student experience what must certainly be the most remarkable and bizarre lesson in the history of pedagogy. It ends with murder.

The Maid –Any Age

The Professor –Any Age

Auditions will take place on February 18th from 2:00pm-6:00pm with callbacks on February 19th from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

Location: The Arden Theatre’s Hamilton Family Arts Center (62 N. 2nd Street)

Actors should prepare a comedic monologue of 2-minutes or less. It can be contemporary or classical.
