Sadlight Films presents a sardonic, black comedy about relationships, growing up, and a bloody backwoods massacre: Kids in the Woods. A motley club of art college students depart from the concrete jungle of Houston, Texas as an excuse to cut loose for the summer, and spend a weekend in the most obvious of choices for an art class: A creepy old building

There’s the virgin, the best friend, the nice guy, the black chick, the bitch, the drug fiends, the helpful local yokel and the deranged, homicidal redneck.

But here's the twist. The film's really a comedy. It's just a slasher keeps pushing in.

As the story uncoils and bodies pile, our rag-tag group of bohemian minors try to maintain their mellows, while having to wait for the only on duty Sheriff to arrive from his station house, hours away. Whether it’s covering a septic shed in graffiti, figuring out the easiest way to get rid of a body, taking a margarita break, eating box, toking, rolling, drinking, smoking and in the meantime: Trying to avoid a grisly death by the hands of a masked lunatic with a big yellow crowbar.
