James and the Giant Peach, Jr.
Friday, March 9 at 6:30pm -and- Saturday, March 10 at 1pm
at the Montgomery Theater
Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on this "masterpeach" of a tale. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score with witty and charming characters, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic. Directed by Adam Danoff.
Young actors, ages 12 and up, will be considered for all roles. Non-union professionals considered for two stipend contracts (age 21+).
Please prepare 16 bars of a memorized show tune. Bring headshot/photo, resume, sheet music, and all potential conflicts for the months of April and May. No CDs. No appointments necessary. Auditions held on the Project Stage.

Characters include:
Ladahlord – the guiding narrator of the story. A bit mysterious, but a true showman!
James – the hero of the story, on an epic quest to find a family of his own
Ladybug – one of James' insect friends, she is protective of James and kind
Grasshopper – another of James' companions and the defacto leader of the insects
Spider – a clever and fun loving bug
Earthworm – a gentle and shy creature who finds his inner flair
Centipede – a grouchy fellow, but still loyal to his pack
Spiker & Sponge – James' mean old aunties who would con and grift anyone
Ensemble – actors who fill out the world: policemen, vagrants, seagulls, reporters, and more!
