Seeking submissions from local, non-AEA actors for roles in WHIRLPOOL by Jonathan Edmondson, an original LGBTQ, full-length play to be produced as part of the 2019 Jersey Fringe Festival in Hammonton, NJ.
Auditions will be held by appointment only on Monday, April 29, from 6pm - 8pm at the Hamilton Family Arts Center.
All roles are open. Actors will be paid a small stipend upon completion of the run. Please note that while performances take place in NJ, rehearsal location will be decided upon after casting to fit the needs of production. If you have any questions/concerns about travel, please do not hesitate to ask.
Rehearsal schedule will be built around actor availability. Actors must be available for all of tech.
Production Info
WHIRLPOOL is a two-hander about the relationship between two young men who, after not seeing each other for years, reconnect at a party. Weaving in and out of the time between high school and present day, WHIRLPOOL examines key moments of adolescent friendship and exploration of sexuality.
The piece is presented non-linearly through a series of smaller scenes and focuses heavily on queer themes.

Tech: 7.29.19 - 8.1.19

Closing: 8.4.19
Rehearsals will be held weekday evenings and weekends.
Characters
Caleb (M) - introverted, wide-eyed, romantic, passionate.
Blake (M) - extroverted, calm, manipulative, passionate.
Note: Both characters age from 15 to 24 throughout the course of the show.
