Description:
The Retsina Group/Stockyard Theatre Project seeks two non-Equity actors for NOBODY LIKES RETSINA, a musical comedy about a Greek American family during the Depression in Chicago. We are looking for a male, 30-40-ish, high tenor to play dual roles of O’Malley, an Irish cop and Pericles, a smarmy, “wealthy” doctor. We are also looking for a male, mid-40’s, baritone to play Vasi, a bootlegger looking for a rich fiancé for his marriageable daughter.
Stage rehearsals begin in January 29 for a February 28-April 5 run on Mondays and Tuesdays at the Parthenon Restaurant in downtown Chicago. There is pay.
Prepare one comic monologue and two contrasting 16-bar selections. Bring sheet music in your key. Call Joan Mazzonelli 773-909-3245 for audition appointments.
