‘When the Cold Wind Blows’ follows a day in the job of a Master Sergeant who is at the final month of his military contract and has to make a decision whether he wants to remain in the army as a counseling officer or leave and struggle in the real world. It functions as social commentary on military life in Singapore, be it regulars or National Servicemen.
