While Stephen is hesitant to grant Ellen the divorce, he still does so, and with her newfound freedom, she becomes a supervillain named Reverb in order to obtain the attention and recognition she felt she never got due to Stephen’s arrogance he displayed when they were a married crime-fighting duo.
