Description:

The Marriott Theatre is seeking headshot and resume submissions for male young performers for their 2019 production of OLIVER!. Specifically looking to cast the following:

-Oliver Twist - An innocent, lonely orphan boy born in the workhouse. Oliver is between nine and twelve years old when the main action of the novel occurs. Though treated with cruelty and surrounded by coarseness for most of his life, he is a pious, innocent child, and his charms draw the attention of Mr Browlow. Age 9-12, strong singer and actor. Any ethnicity.

-The Artful Dodger - The most clever of Fagin's pickpockets. The Dodger's real name is Jack Dawkins. Though no older than Oliver, the Dodger talks and dresses like a grown man. He introduces Oliver to Fagin. 11-12 years old. Strong singer and actor. Any ethnicity.

-Noah Claypole - The Sowerberrys' apprentice, he bullies Oliver about his mother and enjoys a flirtatious relationship with Charlotte. Late teens. Strong singer and actor. Any ethnicity.

-Workhouse & Fagin Kids: Boys age ranges 8-17 (any ethnicity). Includes Dodger's friend Charley. Looking for singers/actors, and let us know if you have any "special skills" (for example: acrobatics, tumbling, juggling, dance etc.). We are looking for boys who are bright and personable. Boys will be one or more of the following: Workhouse Boys, Workhouse Assistants, Bow Street Runners, Street Vendors (Criers), Crowd of Onlookers and, Passersby. Various ethnicities.

Time Commitment:
Rehearsals begin October 10th, with a tentative closing on December 29th.
