Description:

Emerald City Theatre is seeking non-Equity adult actors, singers and musicians of all ethnicities, identities, ages and genders for our 2019/20 Season.

Especially seeking actors of all ages who identify as Korean or Korean-American.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, May 7th from 10am-3pm and Wednesday, May 8th from 12pm-5pm at The Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N Southport Avenue on the 3rd floor.

ECT pays an hourly rate for all rehearsals, tech rehearsals and performances. Performances are compensated at a 3-hour minimum.

Time Commitment:
All shows typically rehearse during the day on weekdays and have weekday morning and afternoon performances, as well as weekend performances. Daytime availability is necessary to be considered for ECT's 2019/20 season.

Material To Prepare:
Please prepare one contemporary monologue (no more than 60 seconds). Your monologue selection does not need to be from a children's show, but please consider the kind of work we do when preparing your piece.

Singers: You may prepare one 16-bar song, in addition to one monologue.

An accompanist will be provided from 10am - 3pm on Tuesday, May 7th and from 2:30pm - 5:00pm on Wednesday, May 8th.

Please bring sheet music, if you wish to sing with our accompanist during this time frame.

Alternatively, you may bring in your own instrument and/or use our in-room keyboard to accompany yourself OR you may sing a cappella. Please bring one hard copy of your headshot and resume.
