Description:

Looking for musically gifted Jewish Boys ages 14-18 who love to sing , dance and act to participate in the original musical production based on the story of European Jews fleeing Holocaust and settling in Dominican Republic in 1938. On its second year, "SOSUA:DARE TO DANCE TOGETHER" is being composed and directed by the legendary Elizabeth Swados, an acclaimed Broadway and off -Broadway director, composer and choreographer. The participants will receive FREE weekly training/coaching, create their own monologues and scenes, perform at different venues and receive a $ 300 STIPEND at the end .The weekly rehearsals will start in October at the YM&YWHA of Washington Heights & Inwood with several performances scheduled for March-May 2011. Must be able to sing and act. Cast includes both male and female teen actors of Jewish and Dominican origin.

AUDITIONS are held on Wednesday, October 6 , at 4:30 -6 pm at the YM&YWHA of Washington Heights , 54 Nagle Ave, NYC, 10040, auditorium.
