The Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre announces auditions for upcoming projects:

The directors request that each actor prepare a short dramatic and a short comedic monologue. Please bring pictures and resumes stapled together. Actors may be asked to read from provided sides.
For YANKEE TAVERN, a play by Steven Dietz: four actors needed….
ADAM: a graduate student late 20’s
JANET: Adam’s fiancé, late 20’s
RAY: a resident of the bar, 60’s
PALMER: a mysterious man, 40’s
Yankee Tavern will be directed by Wayne Miller
It will be performed in a 99 seat theatre constructed on the stage of the Historic St George Theatre in Staten Island, minutes from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.
Performances are September 23rd through September 26th.
For DOUBT, a Parable, a play by John Patrick Shanley : four actors needed….
FATHER BRENDAN FLYNN: a priest in his late 30’s
SISTER ALOYSIUS BEAUVIER: an “old school” nun, 50’s or 60’s
SISTER JAMES: a new teacher, 20’s
MRS. MULLER: a parent, late 30’s African American
Doubt will be directed by Ken Tirado
It will be a Main Stage production at the St. George Theatre
Performances are February 17th thru 20th, 2011
Auditions will be held at the St. George Theatre, 35 Hyatt St, Staten Island, NY (a short walk from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal). Auditions begin at 7PM on Thursday, August 5th (Sign-in at 6PM) and 3PM on Sunday, August 8th (no early sign-in).
Typing may occur. No Equity monitor will be in attendance.
