Description:
An assassin with mafia connections is on the run. An elderly woman lost her husband many years ago. She has since lost her grip on reality. At the Bed & Breakfast that she operates is her eight-year-old grandson, who bides his time playing games and pestering visitors. What will happen when these lives converge?
Starlight Productions is currently searching for actors for “Playing Fair,” a short film that embodies several genres, including family drama, thriller, and dark comedy. Distribution plans include entry into the domestic and international film festival circuits of 2011.

Characters:
Salvatore – male of Italian descent; 40’s; hitman who is on the run.
Gale – boy Caucasian; eight years old; back-country, talkative, adventurous.
Muriel – Caucasian woman; elderly; Gale’s grandmother, back-country, lives in past.
Claude – young teen girl; large, hefty, delivers newspapers on bike.
FBI Agent 1 – adult male.
FBI Agent 2 – adult, male or female.
Jimmy – Caucasian male; 50’s; Muriel’s deceased husband, likes to fish.
Clerk – young adult female; attractive; back-country, runs convenience store.
