Millbrook Playhouse is seeking non-union actors for the summer season.

For over 50 years Millbrook Playhouse, located in Central PA, has offered a unique opportunity for up and coming actors, singers and dancers to build their resumes. Millbrook is a traditional summer theatre with 2 stages, 250-seat Main Stage theatre and a 100-seat Cabaret Theatre, producing 4 plays and 4 musicals in 12 weeks. Millbrook also produces a very successful Children’s Theatre, as well as summer camps.
Principle Roles - $200-$250 - Supporting Roles - (upperclassmen in college, early career) - $160-$200
Resident company/acting intern (early college age) - $800 stipend

- A Year with Frog and Toad - 9 Performances - (reh; Sunday, May 26 – Thursday, June 6; runs; Friday, June 7-Saturday, June 15)
- Mamma Mia - 14 Performances - (reh; Friday, June 7th –Thursday, June 20; runs; Friday, June 21 Saturday, July 6) Dir; Shannon Agnew
- Newsies - 9 Performances - (reh; Tuesday, June 25 –Thursday, July 11; runs; Friday, July 12-Sunday, July 21) dir/choreo; Courtney Laine Self
- Million Dollar Quartet -- 13 Performances - (reh; Saturday, July 13–Thursday, July 25; runs; Friday, July 26-Sat, August 10) dir/md; Jason Cohen
Cabaret Summer Season:
- Sexy Laundry - 9 Performances - (reh; Sunday, June 2nd –Thursday, June 13; runs; Friday, June 14-Sunday, June 23) Dir; Morgan Sills
- The Fox on the Fairway - 14 Performances - (reh; Sunday, June 16th-Thursday, June 27; runs; Friday, June 28-Sunday, July 14) Dir; Aaron White
- Gaslight - 9 Performances - (reh; on or about Friday, July 5th – Thursday, July 18; runs; Friday, July 19-Sunday, July 28) dir; Amanda Coffin
About the contract:
- Guest Performers are paid weekly. Range bet $175-$250 and need only commit to one or two shows. (please note that some actors may need to sign back to back contracts for Mamma Mia into Newsies, as well as Fox on the Fairway into Gaslight)
- Resident acting company are early-career actors and should be enrolled or recently completed a theatre training program. They will do minor tech work or admin duties. All roles are open, cast in multiple shows and Saturday morning kid show. Contract dates: May 27th - Aug. 4th. Total stipend. $1,000.00
- Housing provided for out of town actors; dorm style with kitchen, Internet, and gym. Each dorm has two rooms and a kitchen.
- seven meals per week provided. Meals catered from local restaurants.
- All Actors are required to help with the strike.
- Bus Transportation to and from Millbrook Playhouse provided from NYC/Philly ONLY.
- On-site transportation provided to and from the housing.
- If unable to attend any of the auditions you may submit a video audition. Please send one or two songs and a monologue or scene. Websites are helpful.
