Description:
Filament Theatre seeks submissions from non-equity performers for upcoming production of Luna by Ramon Esquivel directed by Alejandro Tey. Filament is committed to dynamic storytelling, including unexpected performance spaces and unexpected casting. We enthusiastically welcome actors of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and physical abilities. We are particularly seeking multi-disciplinary performers/creators with an interest in immersive theatre, young and family audiences, and community-based work. Performers will be expected to meaningfully engage with their audience. This could include hosting conversations, leading short games/activities, facilitating one-on-one and group experiences, etc. as a part of the performance.
Many of these audience interaction/participation moments will be engineered by the ensemble, so we are looking to cast performers with a strong willingness to play, generate ideas, and try new things together.
Though characters in Luna are written with he/him and she/her pronouns, actors of all gender identities and expressions are encouraged submit for any role(s) for which you feel you would be a good fit.
