Janus Theatre Company will hold season auditions for the Elgin Shakespeare Project. Auditions are scheduled for Sunday, April 14 at 3:00 p.m. at Elgin Public House, located at 219 East Chicago Streeton the second floor in downtown Elgin.
The Elgin Shakespeare Project focuses on using the unrehearsed cue script techniques as practiced by Professor Bill Kincaid from Western Illinois University. The project will be produced by Artistic Director Sean Hargadon.
The Elgin Shakespeare Project presents A Midsummer Night's Dream on June 22-23 at the Elgin Artspace Lofts; Murdering Marlowe by Charles Marowitz on August 17-18 at Elgin Public House; and Macbeth on October 21-22 at Imago Studios - all in downtown Elgin. The Elgin Shakespeare Project is sponsored by the Palmer Foundation.
Material To Prepare:
Actors should prepare a 1-2 minute comedic or dramatic monologue. We are seeking all types of actors and ages.
