Description:
We will be hosting audition workshops between Saturday, April 13th and Sunday, April 14th. These will consist of movement/ensemble work, choreography, and script work.
Each day we will host two different audition groups, each for an hour and a half, from 2pm-5:30pm.
Seeking:
Age Range: 18-30 years old
Latinx/black/Afro-Caribbean actor/dancers
(professional training not needed, but must be able to pick up complex choreography)
All genders welcome
Auditions will be held at 2620 W. Divison St.
About UTC:
UrbanTheater Company has been producing award-winning performative work centered around the Puerto Rican voice in Humboldt Park for 14 years. As part of the Chicago Latino Theatre Alliance (CLATA), the Theatre Communications Group (TCG), and the League of Chicago Theatres, we serve as a pipeline for a diverse and culturally specific collective of Chicago actors, designers, and producers who embrace the responsibility to create an environment full of honesty, integrity, representation, and acceptance.
Time Commitment:
Rehearsals will begin on May 6. The production opens June 22-July 27, 2019. The performances will be Thurs-Sat at 8pm & Sundays at 4pm.
