Open audition: SPINNING INTO BUTTER, by Rebecca Gilman ... the exploration of the explosive topic of racism set in liberal Belmont College in bucolic Vermont – an African-American student has received hate mail, and the Dean of Students tries to navigate the ensuing uproar with decidedly mixed results. Production dates (Fri) Feb. 1 – (Sun) Feb. 17, 2019. No appointments. Auditioners are to sign in between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm – they will be called in the order they sign in. Callback(s) by invitation only. Those trying out are expected to be familiar with the play. Readings will be taken from the script, but auditioners should also have a prepared monologue. All roles non-union. Actors will receive stipends at the end of the run.
