Description:

EgoPo Classic Theater is accepting Equity and Non-Equity submissions for A Human Being Died That Night by Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela, adapted by Nicholas Wright, directed by Steven Wright and Master Harold and the Boys by Athol Fugard, directed by Artistic Director Lane Savadove. Equity contracts are Special Appearance, Tier II.

Seeking:

Pumla - a strong and compassionate woman. A psychologist brought back to South Africa at the request of president Mandela as part of a post-Apartheid program to help with healing and reconciliation. Black, South African, 30+.

Eugene - an ex-cop serving two life sentences for crimes committed during Apartheid. Known as "Prime Evil." White, South African, 40+.

Auditions for A Human Being Died That Night will be June 20 & June 21 from 6-10 PM. Please indicate availability when submitting.

Seeking:

Sam - 45 year-old, black South African male. Dignified & wise with a strong knowledge of history and literature. Accomplished dancer, very tidy, raised Hallie.

Willie - mid-40s, black South African male. Spirited but quick tempered. Has worked with and admired Sam for years but is less educated. Loves to dance but lacks the skill and lashes out physically.

Hallie - 17-year-old white South African male. Prep school educated. Ashamed of father and has a nasty temper.

Auditions for Master Harold and the Boys will be held in August, date TBD.
