AUDITIONS FOR MONTGOMERY THEATER, TOO's PRODUCTION OF A FAIRY TALE

Announcing auditions for Montgomery Theater, Too's upcoming production of A Fairy Tale. This is a world premiere by playwrights Jessica Bedford and Sean Close. The production is being directed by Montgomery Theater’s Artistic Director, Tom Quinn (tq@montgomerytheater.org) and will be presented on the Project Stage. Rehearsals start in September and the show runs from October 19 to October 28 for a total of 8 performances.

Auditions will be held Friday, July 13 (starting at 6pm) Saturday, July 14 (at 1pm).

Young actors ages 10 - 18 and non-union professional adults 18-35 are encouraged to audition.
You do not need to sign up for an audition time. Just come to the theater on one of the two audition days. There will be short cold readings from the script. Bring picture and resume with you.

MAJOR CHARACTERS (2)

Dani - a fairy girl; she's confident and has chutzpah

Freddie - a lightening bug boy, also confident but more of a quiet kid

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS (3)

Gnatalie - a gnat; she's the sharpest most on top of it kid in the school, she's also the tiniest because she's a gnat

Xander - a butterfly; he's got attitude and an axe to grind

Bulch - a stink bug; he's Xander's right hand man and a bit of a clown, not the brightest candle on the cake

SMALLER ROLES (5)

The Tooth Fairy - High-powered and successful, Dani's mom

Mrs. Firefly - Loving and working class, Freddie's mom

Tune - a band Fairy, he plays the flute

Mr. Ladybug - the school principal

Taco Tommy - a DJ
