Description:
Svaha Theatre Collective is seeking actors for two productions in the 2018 Fringe Festival which will be performed in repertory: Sarah Kane’s Phaedra’s Love and Long Trouble an adaptation of William Shakespeare and John Fletcher's The Famous History of the Life of King Henry the Eight. Each will be directed by Elise D’Avella. Svaha Theatre Collective hopes to bring in a diverse cast (including all races, mixes, and ethnicities) to bring these two unique stories to life.
Auditions will be May 30, 5-9pm and June 4, 10am-2pm.
Rehearsals will begin in mid-August with brief workshops in June and July. Evening performances at Masher Space Cooperative on September 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22.
Stipend: $150 (with potential for raise based on fundraising turnout)

Hippolytus: The disillusioned and disgusting prince. Male. Seeking an actor of color.
Doctor: The very aware royal doctor. Female. Seeking an actor of color.
Priest: An intentioned holy man. Male.
Theseus: The absent king who returns eventually. Male.
Long Trouble
Mary: Daughter of Catherine of Aragon and Henry VIII. Female. Seeking an actor who plays an instrument
