Description:
Janus Theatre Company will hold auditions for the Elgin Shakespeare Project. Rehearsals and workshops will begin in May. The Elgin Shakespeare Project will run in July and August at various locations in the city of Elgin. The project will be directed by Artistic Director Sean Hargadon.
Auditions are scheduled for Sunday, April 22 at 5:00 p.m. at the Elgin Art Showcase, 164 Division Street on the 8th Floor in downtown Elgin.
We are seeking all types of actors and ages.
The Elgin Shakespeare Project will focus on using the unrehearsed cue script techniques as practiced by Professor Bill Kincaid from Western Illinois University.
Material To Prepare:
Actors should prepare a 1-2 minute comedic or dramatic monologue.
