Chimera Ensemble is holding auditions for its upcoming National Premiere production of Don't Smoke In Bed by Aurin Squire, directed by Chika Ike.
Auditions will be held at Collaboraction Studios in The Flat Iron Arts Building (Wicker Park)
Synopsis: An interracial couple is interviewed about their marriage by an unseen journalist via webcam, and inner demons are exposed. Don't Smoke in Bed presents a rich, insightful exploration of how society's expectations influence what goes on behind closed doors.
Cast:
RICHARD - 35, Jamaican-American professor and husband.
SHERYL - 35, Irish-American-born professor and wife.
Seeking:
RICHARD - 35, Jamaican-American professor and husband. Actor with voice training and a facility with language preferred.
Disclosures - Script indicates kissing for both characters, and a moment where Richard "begins to untie his robe".

Closing Date & Strike: 7/8/18
Performances will be in The Pentagon Theater at Collaboraction Studios in The Flat Iron Arts Building (Wicker Park). They will take place at 7:30pm Thursday - Saturday nights, and Sunday afternoons at 3pm, with one 7:30pm Industry Night on Monday, 7/2/18.
