Hedgerow Theatre is auditioning for various roles in the 2019 production of Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov
We have one AEA contract available for this production
Available roles include:
Irína. Strong; ardent; sweet, spontaneous. At the beginning, is innocent, idealistic, playful, unconsciously girlish; becomes wounded and grief-stricken as her ideals collide with reality.
Natásha. Journeys from utterly naïve, timid, fish-out-of-water fearful to deliciously at home as a controlling, unapologetically bossy and demanding “grande dame”
Chebutýkin. Outwardly brash, unfiltered, expressive…inwardly tender.
Fedótik, a second lieutenant: sentimental, affectionate. In love with Irina. Plays guitar. Always taking photos.
Róhde, a second lieutenant. Curious, lively. In love with Irina.
Ferapónt . Very old. Deaf. A raconteur. Generous; selfless. A good soul.
Anfísa, the Prozorovs’ eighty-year-old nurse. Loyal. Hard-working. Good-hearted. Fearful of change.
Kulýgin, Masha’s husband. Schoolteacher. A good-hearted fellow. A pontificator who loves the sound of his own voice and assumes everyone else feels the same. A kind soul, and ultimately, incredibly loyal.
Túzenbach. In love with Irina. Wears his heart on his sleeve. An idealist and a good friend.
Solyóny. In love with Irina. Profoundly lonely; his isolation makes him a hypersensitive misfit with a hair-trigger temper.
