Description:
First Folio Theatre is accepting submissions for its summer acting internship for the 2018 world premiere musical SHREW'D, based on Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" and directed by Johanna McKenzie Miller. The show is set in a 1930's Chicago jazz nightclub and will include original songs by Christopher Kriz, Lydia Hiller, and David Rice. There will be a cast of 10 characters and a chorus of 7-8. This will be produced on our outdoor stage.
Interns will perform in the ensemble/chorus, understudy 1 or 2 roles, and be required to perform 40 hours of work on set construction/opening up the site, 15 hours of set strike when the show closes, and have set-up/break-down duties for rehearsals and performances.
All rehearsals and performances will be at our theater in Oak Brook, IL.

Time Commitment:
Rehearsals begin on June 10. Performances begin July 11. Show closes August 19.
