Description:
The Gallery Theater of West Chicago will hold auditions for Love Loss and What I Wore by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, based on the book by Ilene Beckerman. Directed by Carol Townsend.
THE STORY: A play of monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes and memory covering all the important subjects-mothers, prom dresses, mothers, buying bras, mothers, hating purses and why we only wear black. Based on the bestselling book by Ilene Beckerman.
Auditions will be held
Sunday, January 28th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Monday, January 29th from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Characters:
Gingy, Gingy's Mother, Nancy, Alex, Nancy's Mother, Alex's Mother, Rosie, Holly, Stephanie, Merill, Pam, Lynne, Liz, Liz's Older Sister, Liz's Younger Sister, Dora, Annie, Mary, Eve, Mary's Mother, Eve's Shrink, Heather, Nora, Lisa, Amanda, Geralyn, Doctor, Woman.
All Roles will be played by 5 (or possibly more) women.
Auditions will be held at 129 Main St, West Chicago, IL. This is in the Western Suburbs, not in Chicago.
Time Commitment:
Rehearsals begin the week of February 25th based on cast availability.
The play runs April 6,7,8 & 13,14,15
Material To Prepare:
Monologues not required. Auditions will be sides from the script which will be available upon request.
