The Ensemble will collectively decide what stories they would like to tell with Olivia Lilley directing and leading the devising process. The Ensemble will create the score together. Olivia will write the libretto with assistance from the Ensemble. Everybody will receive writing and devising credit in addition to performing credit.
Pay: All suggested donations at the door for the showings will go directly to the performer/creators on the last day of the workshop.
Auditions will be held at ACM Music 3001 N. Central Park

March-May 2018
3-4 days a week for rehearsal: Mondays-Thursdays: 7-10:30
Rehearsals will take place at ACM Music (3001 N. Central Park) starting March 1st. The workshop will rehearse three days a week in the evenings. The total workshop process will take three months: March - May 2018.
Material To Prepare:
You will need to prepare all of the following things: 1) Bring in one piece of music that inspires you. We will provide a record player, a laptop with speakers, and a boom box. Be prepared to tell us about why it means so much to you. 2) Perform a piece of music 1-2 minutes in length. There is a grand piano in the space and a few music stands. You may accompany yourself or bring accompaniment. Select a piece of music that reminds you of your experience in Chicago. Prepare to tell us a little about that. 3) Perform a 1-2 minute monologue, poem, or something you've written.
