"THE INNOCENT" -One event will change their lives forever.

PORTLAND:
We will be holding auditions for this feature length film on Sunday, May 30th from 10am to 10pm. Auditions will be held in the Oregonian Ballroom is located inside the Shilo Inn at 9900 Southwest Canyon Road, Portland, OR 97225. The Oregonian Ballroom is located next to the lower parking area on the west side of the building.

This is an open audition, but if you need a specific time due to work or other considerations, please contact to arrange an appointment. Though this is a small budget feature, it is a paying role for main characters.

We are casting for the following lead characters, and several minor roles:

DEVON MANNING: A high school senior.
Devon is a bit shy but his heart is in the right place. Devon is in a difficult place emotionally. His mom is dead and his dad is wheelchair bound ?he feels alone, and the terrible secret he knows could destroy them all.

BECKY LYLE: A high school senior.
Becky is a childhood friend of Devon and Garrett, and is madly in love with Devon who seems completely oblivious. Becky is a strong female lead, smart, crafty, and unafraid to stand up to the bullies ?a take-charge kind of girl.

GARRETT JILES: A high school senior.
Garrett is Devon's best friend is funny, quick-witted and incredibly intelligent; he also looks out for his friends and knows about Becky's not-so-secret crush on Devon. The three of them have lived close to each other their whole lives.

MIKE MANNING: Devon's father is late 30s-late 40s.
Mike became wheelchair bound after the accident that killed his wife. He has been struggling the last several years to communicate and raise his teenage son, unsure of how to talk with him and help him through his problems.

JOHN BROOKS: early 20s.
Brooks and Devon used to be best friends and neighbors. Something happened when they were kids and Brooks now hates Devon, using every opportunity to torment him and his friends. Brooks is a small town bully who's dangerously close to coming unhinged. This is a very difficult, emotional character to play. Actors will need a wide range of convincing emotions.

CAROL BROOKS: 30's-40's.
Carol is the town drunk. A bar fly who had John when she was just a teenager and is bitter with the way life has treated her. She has her own secrets to hide.

TEACHER: Any age range, ethnicity, sex.
Devon's English teacher is a strong role model type character that all the kids look up to. He/She tells Devon: "sometimes you have to fight back."

SHELLY MOLGROVE: late 20's to early 30's.
John Brooks's girlfriend and a class A villain. She is a small town beauty queen who is losing her looks and realizes she's never going to get out of the shit town she was born in. She is bitter, angry, and resentful of the younger, more attractive people who remind her so much of her wasted youth. She delights in the misery of others.
