ast spring, the first Shoe Box Short Theatre Festival featured twenty-two independent performance acts over the course of three days. The acts ranged from comedy to drama to cabaret to acrobatics. One person shows, large ensembles, a cast made entirely of puppets. It was cool.
Submissions are currently open for 2018's Short Theatre Festival. If you have a piece of performance rolling around in your head waiting to get created or re-created, we encourage you to apply! Shoe Box Company seeks a wide diversity of pieces, and we will consider any act no matter how strange or straightforward.
WHO: Anyone.
WHAT: A weekend of theatre pieces, each no longer than 45 mins.
WHERE: The Venice Island Performing Arts Center in Manayunk. 7 Lock St., Philadelphia, PA 19127.
