​OTHER DATES:
Rehearsals will begin the week of February 12, 2018. Rehearsals will be scheduled M-Th evenings and Saturday or Sunday afternoon/evenings as needed and depending on the availability of the actors cast.

​First performance: April 13, 2018

Final performance: April 22, 2018

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm, and Wednesday, April 18 at 10am.

PLAY SUMMARY: Maude has bought a painting for a few bucks from a thrift store. Despite almost trashing it, she's now convinced it's a lost masterpiece by Jackson Pollock worth millions. But when a world-class art expert arrives at her trailer home to authenticate the painting, he has no idea what is is about to discover about himself, art, culture, and humanity.

​BREAKDOWN:

Maude: (late 40s-60) Lives in a mobile home in Bakersfield, CA. Unemployed bartender. Described as a "tough broad" by her ex-husband.​

Lionel: (50s-60s) An art expert from NYC. Very full of himself, very cultured, very out of his element.

​PREPARATION: Please bring a prepared monologue from a published work. Comedic or dramatic is fine.
