Hampstead Stage Company is seeking non-equity actors for their upcoming Spring 2018 tour, Beauty and the Beast & Greek Mythology: The Tale of Psyche and Eros and Summer 2018 tour, American Folktales and Songs & Treasure Island.
Formed over 35 years ago in Center Barnstead, New Hampshire, the Hampstead Stage Company has grown into one of the largest educational touring companies in the nation. Each year, Hampstead performs over two thousand shows throughout the forty-eight contiguous states. Each interactive, educational tour is performed by two actors, with each actor playing multiple roles, from scripts that are original adaptations of literary classics.
Rehearsals are held in Center Barnstead, NH. Room & Board are provided during rehearsal. Each tour is assigned a specific region of the country. Hotels and vehicle are provided while on tour. Pay is $300 per week while on tour.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, January 13th from 10am-2pm at Pendulum Space 1803 W Byron St #216, Chicago, IL 60613.
Time Commitment:
Spring: Rehearsals begin February 19th, 2018 in Center Barnstead, NH and tour runs March 12-May 6, 2018
Summer: Rehearsals begin May 17th, 2018 in Center Barnstead, NH and tour runs June 11-August 12, 2018
Actors must be available for the whole contract.
Material To Prepare:
Please prepare one 1-2 minute monologue of your choice. If we are considering you for our Summer 2018 tour, you may be asked to sing 16 bars of a song of your choice (preferably folk/country) acapella. An accompanist will not be provided. Bring one copy of your headshot and resume.
HSC is seeking fun, strong, versatile actors! Please prepare an audition that shows YOU off best. Although we perform for children, we strongly encourage material that is NOT from a children's show. All ethnicities and gender identities strongly encouraged to submit.
