Arden Theatre Company is seeking submissions from local AEA and non-AEA actors for the roles of Medium Alison, Joan, and the Roy track in their production of FUN HOME (Terrence J. Nolan, Director; Ryan Touhey, Music Director; Niki Cousineau, Choreographer). All ethnicities are strongly encouraged to apply.

MEDIUM ALISON, Female. Character is 19-years old. A freshman at Oberlin College, discovering her sexuality; an incredibly well-read, hyper-intelligent teenager; her uncertainty about who she is makes her socially awkward at times; must be a strong singer who can move seamlessly in vocal quality from speech to song; strong mix-belt to C and effortless mix to E.
JOAN, Female. Character is 19 to 22-years old. A student at Oberlin; exudes a confident, sexual energy, with a dry sense of humor; unlike Alison, Joan is very comfortable in her skin and openly identifies as a lesbian; must be comfortable with harmony singing, alto lines.
ROY/MARK/PETE/BOBBY-JEREMY, Male. Character is in his 20s-30s. Singer with a strong clean 70s pop sound - to a B.
Roy – a young man Bruce Bechdel hires to do yard work
Mark – a high school junior
Pete – a mourner at the funeral home
Bobby-Jeremy – the lead singer of a band in Alison’s imagination
