Description:
We will recreate a short scene from the movie “No Country for Old Men”. The movie is about “Violence and mayhem that ensues after a hunter stumbles upon a drug deal gone wrong and more than two million dollars in cash near the Rio Grande.” The scene is a confrontational scene where the antagonist meets a small town shop owner and through the subtext of their seemingly simple conversation threatens to take the shop owner's life.
Filming dates will be negotiable and around the middle of February in and around Austin. However you MUST be available from 6-9pm Monday, February 8th to run scene in front of class.
Pay: DVD/credit/food/gas money or transportation. Also you will have the opportunity to perform in front of, and meet 18 other student directors in the Directing Workshop class.
Auditions will be held this Sunday, January 31 from 6:30-10pm at U.T. Austin in the CMB Building

We are recreating the scene, not mirroring it. Therefore, seeing the movie is not important to your audition. We would like to see how you would portray the characters more than your ability to act exactly like them.
