Description:
A mockumentary following a young man’s descent into pain through his obsession with starring in viral videos for obscure causes (to impress his girlfriend), and the fame that it brings him.
Breakdown:
Role Name | Gender | Ethnicity | Age Range | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|
KEVIN | Male | Caucasian | 18-24 | Nerdy, skinny social outcast who finds acceptance through the challenge videos. Not quite all there, he doesn't fully understand the real issues — just wants to feel like he's important. Doesn't fully understand beforehand what could go wrong. Almost a little manic in his approach. Lives a comfortable life with his Mother. Clumsy and accident prone, always has bandaids on (fingers, etc.). (Michael Cera type from “Superbad”.) |
MOTHER | Female | Caucasian | 41-50 | Husband was a daredevil who got horribly killed. The insurance settlement has made life comfortable for them ever since. She's proud Kevin’s found his place through his challenge videos, but nervous about his getting hurt. She's a little bit clueless and shallow. Well maintained — how she looks matters to her. |
KELLY | Female | Any Ethnicity | 18-24 | Pretty, sweet, passionate and a bit oblivious. A do-gooder who lets her emotions guide her. Never met a cause she didn't like — she's passionate about them, but as new causes pop up she loses focus and follows the new one. She tries to avoid the darker causes, and would rather focus on the "hug the world" type of ones. Her parents are former hippies with liberal tendencies (possibly politicians), enabling her to be comfortably insulated from the harshness of reality. Definitely too good for Kevin, but doesn’t realize it. |
