Description:
Sub Rosa Theatre Collective (formerly known as Duality Theatre Company) is now accepting self tapes for their upcoming production of How to Make Friends And Then Kill Them by Halley Feiffer, directed by Alena Santoyo.
Character Descriptions:
ADA (seeking main & understudy cast): Plays ages 10-29 (actor should be between 18 and 29); white; played by one actress. Beautiful, charismatic, alcoholic. Wants to be an actress but her obsession with alcohol holds her back.
SAM (seeking understudy cast only): Plays ages 9-28 (actor should be between 18 and 28); white; played by one actress. Ada's sister. Less beautiful than Ada; plucky, strong-willed, whip-smart. Wants to be a graphic novelist but her obsession with her sister holds her back.
DORRIE (seeking main & understudy cast): Plays ages 10-29 (actor should be between 18 and 29); woman of color; played by one actress. Insecure, hugely self-conscious, desperate to give and receive love. Possesses one of the purest hearts there is. Her sole purpose is her devotion to Ada and Sam.
Pay: $100 Stipend
In-person Callbacks: Sept. 14th at The Theatre School
Rehearsals: Oct. 21st-Nov. 26th, Mon-Thursday at The Theatre School
Tech: Dec. 2nd-6th at OpenSpace Arts
Performances: Dec. 6th-15th*at OpenSpace Arts
*Includes one preview and one guaranteed understudy performance.
