Description:
"Here's the Exit" Theatre Company is seeking to hire a non-Equity Stage Manager for the Chicago Premiere of "The Huns" by Michael Ross Albert (2019). We are four Chicago theatremakers who are independently funding & producing this 70 minute play. "The Huns" is an office comedy that humorously examines workplace politics, mental health, and corporate culture. We are performing at Jackalope Theatre Company in Broadway Armory Park in Edgewater as a guest theatre company.
The Stage Manager will be responsible for rehearsal break timing, line notes, and cueing the show during the run. Attendance at all rehearsals is ideal, and attendance for all performances is required.
TIMELINE: Sep 28-Oct 27, 2024
PAY RATE: $600 stipend
PERFORMANCE VENUE: Jackalope Theatre Co. Stage at Broadway Armory Park, 5917 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60660
SHOW RUN:
Closed Preview: Wed, Oct 16 at 7:30 PM
Opening: Thu, Oct 16 at 7:30 PM
Regular Run Oct 17-27: Thu, Fri, Sat at 7:30 PM; both Sunday shows 2:00 PM
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:
(All rehearsals [excl. tech] are max 3 hours, approx 7-10pm depending on cast/dir/sm availability, taking place at a company member's apt in North Center.)
First table read: Sat, Sep 7 (SM optional)
First blocking rehearsal: Sat, Sep 28
Regular rehearsals Sep 29-Oct 13: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sun (off days: Thu, Sat)
Tech: Oct 14-15 (SM optional for load in/out)
Closed Preview: Wed, Oct 16 at 7:30 PM
